Scotrail parking
Can anyone tell me what the official line is on using a train station car park but not using the train. I use East Kilbride train station car park every day as it's about half the price of anywhere else. This evening I was informed by the Scotrail employee that unless I was using the train I couldn't use the car park. I checked the signage which says "Pay and Display" and mentions nothing about restricted only to patrons of Scotrail, I checked Scotrail's website which gives no information on any restrictions in parking as far as I can see. I suspect the guy was being a dick for being a dicks sake but would like to confirm this. I pay the parking and it states the fee will be refunded IF I purchase a ticket, surely if the only people using the carpark were patrons that would read WHEN not IF. Thoughts and comments please? |

B(W)ankers
This a public service announcement for all those with a current account with the bank of scotland. CHANGE BANKS! I shall explain this statement. The bank of scotland have decided to change the methods by which your overdraft on your account works. From the 6th Dec any day you have an arranged overdraft up to £2,500 and you are using it (ie in the red) you will be charged £1. If it is over £2,500 it will be £2 and if you exceed your arranged it will be £5. Sounds not to bad until you realise that currently arranged overdrafts are charged at 0.1% AER so to balance you would need to have a £365,000 overdraft to make the same figures! Also its £1 if you are 1p or £2499 over. So take your account being £1 over for an entire year, that equates to an AER of 36,400%! So strangely I am desperately trying to get rid of my overdraft so christmas and holidays may well be cancelled. I am mildly miffed by this state of affairs as one might imagine. |

GAAAH!
Mother fuckers! Let me explain this rather abrupt statement. I was trawling the web for random shit as usual when I jumped onto Planet X website. They are playing London on the 28th September. Awesome, thought I, I must check the schedule at work to wangle off the 28th/29th. Upon looking at said schedule it turns out the 29th is promo change AND the managers are all off to the managers conference. WANK MONKEYS! How do I get to a gig in London that starts at 7pm when I finish at EK and struggle to get home in Glasgow for then and return back home and to work for 8ish the next morning?! Anyone got any magic solutions. |

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read. 2) Italicise those you intend to read. 3) Underline the books you LOVE. 4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them. ( My book list ) |

Ok today the world is weird. Or more precisely TV is. Today I have seen two adverts with music I like in them. MFI have somehow managed to get to use Cafe Del Mar by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra and the BBC are using an Explosions in the Sky piece called The Only Moment We Were Alone. Definitely A weird day. |

So yeah, it's been a while... As most of you know Lynn and I went on holiday to Centre Parcs last week and much fun it was too. We did many cool things such as badminton, table tennis and falconry (although not all at the same time as that would have been very silly). We generally took it easy and it was nice to go on a "proper" holiday given it has been about 6 or 7 years minimum since either of us had a holiday. New job goes well, rather enjoying being a "supersizer", as Dougie would put it, and definitely glad to be away from the upper management types in Maplin. Bad new was yesterday I came down with a cold, first one in a long time since I have a very good immune system, that does mean however that when I do get ill I entirely shut down to fight it so yesterday at work was a struggle and Lynn will back me up when I say I was as good as dead last night. However well on way to recovery now so all is good. Now I was thinking about a holiday next year and was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting a big "posse" of us to get a week at Centre Parcs as I figured that would be really cool. Maybe I am crazy though. :) Right I am off, maybe I will post in another 4 months :D |

I am getting more than a little bit sick of this. That is 3 times in about a month some fucktard has set light to our bins areas. The area that happens to actually be in the building and better yet happens to have the fucking gas meters! Have the GHA (factors of the building) done anything, well they redecorated after the first fire but other than that they have done fuck all. Have the police done anything, well they have stated they would send more regular patrols near by, hmm that seems to have worked hasn't it. Maybe I should just buy me a baseball bat and wait for the wee shite to turn up and try to light a fire there and knock fuck outta him. I am royally pissed off just now. |

For those of you who have not seen them here is Gir and here is Zim Sorry about the imageshack images that take ages to load but it was best I could use for free at the time. And the stocktake for the store is done for another year thankfully. Now I am off to get food and play games :D |
